French Room!

Here is a peek into my home! This is my daughter's bedroom I recently redecorated. Since it's a french themed room I found a quote by Coco Chanel that says "A girl should always be two things...Classy & Fabulous" As you can see it looks beautiful over a mirror that is above a dresser.


Next to the windows I got black wood frames from Micheal's (about $4) and painted them black, then drilled two holes in them to string through ribbon. Then I applied this embellished initals of my two daughter's names directly to the wall.



This design idea impressed even myself! I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a wrought iron Eiffel Tower but when I put it on the wall it just looked kind of lonely on the wall by the door. So I printed a large vinyl border that I put on the wall and then hung the Eiffel Tower in the middle. This gives it an AMAZING 3-D effect that I haven't ever seen before!

Thanksgiving Glass Block

With our costumes packed away and all the spooky decor returning to the cobwebbed corners of our garages, we are getting ready for Thanksgiving! With that in mind, I have come up with an Idea of the Week in the theme of gratitude.

This is a glass block wrapped with ribbon and raffia and tied off with some floral embellishments. The lettering is in a dark beige and chocolate brown.

2009 Young Women's Theme

I have several wards requesting designs for the new Young Women's 2009 Theme. It's from 1 Timothy 4:12 "Be thou an example of the believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity"

I have come up with several different designs (some to fit a 12x12" board, and some to fit a piece of wood). Below is a picture of one that I design, I wrapped a ribbon around it to give it an elegant touch.
These tiles are either $10 for the lettering. Or $15 for the finished product (tile and lettering applied. Ribbon is not included)

Spooky Halloween Designs

Here are some spooky Halloween Design ideas! Here's a little bit of info on these pictures...

• The "Trick or Treat" jar is a hurricane candle holder I filled with candy corn.
• The "Wicked Witch and her Little Monsters live here" is a black plate with white lettering. The finished product pricing (plate, vinyl and applied for you) is only $10!
• The slides that have the "Boo", "EEK", and "Don't make me get my flying monkeys" is vinyl lettering placed on top of scrapbook paper.I used an unfinished frame (you can either purchase from me, or you can find them at Micheal's or JoAnn's craft stores). As an added touch I drilled holes into the frames and strung orange ribbon through it. The GREAT thing about this idea is that it can translate into each season! Just take the scrapbook paper out and place a new scrapbook paper design for each season, and replace the ribbon. Even if you aren't crafty, this is a SIMPLE way to have truly unique holiday decor, and it's SO inexpensive!
• The "Happy Haunting" block stacker is fun and simple to make. I have pre-cut blocks availabe for $5.00. I painted it black and applied vinyl lettering. Then I embellished it with some ribbon. You can purchase the kit (everything you see here) for $19.50 (the vinyl only pricing is just $8.50).
• The "Neighbors have the good candy" and the "No tricks just treats" designs are painted wood boards. I have pre-cut unfinished boards for $5.00 if you need them.

Wicked Welcome!

I designed this especially for the front door during Halloween holiday! It says "Leave your brooms at the door" It's such a fun and more unique greeting!
